Diamond Lake lies in central Cass County of southwestern Michigan, about 1 mile southeast of the city of Cassopolis. Diamond Lake is natural, having been formed during the Wisconsinan glacial stage (10,000 to 75,000 years ago).
Five miles North of White Cloud, in Lincoln Township in central Newaygo County is the home of all sports Diamond Lake. This Michigan lake consists of 170 acres of surface waters with depths of 25 feet. The lake is restricted by the active Diamond Lake Association, which was formed by the lake owners who plan several special events during the year.
Diamond Lake has more than enough water for power boating, water skiing and jet skiing. The island is a great place to explore by canoe or kayak. The lake is also a very popular place to sail.
