    Oct 15, 2010 · I would suggest sticking with the type of oil that came in the truck, the important part to an oil filter change on a Ford is that the Oil Filter only be replaced with a Motorcraft or Ford Racing oil filter. Reason being: the vast majority of your "aftermarket" (ie Fram, Duralast, etc.) do not have a check valve.

    Jan 31, 2011 · Step 1: Remove bolt from oil pan and let oil drain out. Step 2: Remove oil filter. These pics show where the oil filter is located. Step 3: Remove cap to where you put the oil into the block. Step 4: Put drain bolt back into the oil pan but make sure you clean it off first. Step 5: Put new oil filter into place.
