Sep 18, 2013 · With only a 6 hour layover, you effectively only have about 2-3 hours available for sightseeing. If you go to Frankfurt, this only takes 11-13 min. and you arrive in the city center.
My husband and I have a 15 hour layover in Frankfurt next month (landing at ~ 7am). Neither of us have ever been to Germany before so we're looking for a few "must-see/do/eat" things while we're there. Any recommendations for restaurants, pubs, sites, musueums, etc.?
Apr 25, 2021 · 491 posts. I have passed through that airport literally at least 150 times and been to Frankfurt at least 30 or 40 times not counting when I lived in nearby Lieblos. On a bad day it can be a challenging place. I would discourage any temptation to leave the airport for such a short layover.
