  7. Sep 10, 2014 · The museum is simply a WOW. Pompeii has the buildings and streets, the museum has all the gorgeous decorations - mosaics, frescoes, sculptures and tons of them. Rick's Italy books have great directions for getting to the museum from the train station, if you're taking the train back from Pompeii.
