Wikipedia states a close number (240 km) but with a single source it would seem. Looking at the current world record (262 km/162 miles) for a 24-hour run, these numbers look even more unbelievable considering the chasquis would have pre-modern shoes, pre-modern roads and I would guess severe elevation variations to deal with.
