Jan 24, 2020 · The reservoir is managed by the Baker Dam Reservoir Association, and the UDWR stocks rainbow trout on a regular basis. While spring and fall provide the best fishing opportunities, the BDRA is open year-round. It is a good base for hunters looking for deer, quail, and rabbit, and off highway vehicle users wanting to explore higher elevations.
Both the campground and day use area have accessible vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire pits with grills. Each campsite has RV or vehicle parking and a tent pad. Trash collection is provided. Water and electrical hookups are not available. Campsites are reservation only at recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
Jun 21, 2021 · RV Length: 20' (Travel Trailer) Overall Rating. Small quiet CG in juniper forest. Road and campsites are gravel. Sites are nicely spaced with trees between, not crammed together. Each site has picnic table and fire ring. No water. 2 pit toilets at the entrance. When I was there (Jan 2024) the toilets were clean and had lots of TP.

The trailhead is well-marked. Yet if you venture down the Barker Dam Trail during the peak season, you don’t need any signs or even maps.
