As official historian of Caledonian MacBrayne, he has published extensively on the vessels, sea routes, and piers of the Clyde and the Western Highlands. He was appointed MBE in 2007 ‘for services to Music and to the community in Inverclyde’.

  5. Dec 5, 2019 · His father taught Primary 7 there and Ian was a pupil all the way from Primary 1 to sixth year, when he was head boy. He went to Glasgow University to get his honours degree in chemistry and on to Jordanhill College for his teacher training, before returning to the academy a mere five years later to join the staff.

  6. Jun 15, 2012 · Ian’s father taught Primary 7 at Greenock Academy until 1951. Ian was a pupil there from 1946 till 1959 (in the Nelson Street building) in both primary and secondary departments. He was Head Boy of the school in session 1958-59.

  7. Oct 8, 2021 · After graduating from TFS in 2011, McCrorie went on to attend Cardinal Gibbons High School and UNC-Wilmington where he majored in Finance. In the Spring of 2022, McCorie will graduate from UNC School of Law.
