May 5, 2024 · It is an early version with all the early features- 20" barrel instead of the later 22" (early guns should be stamped with just a single caliber, either 22 SHORT or 22 LONG RIFLE), the rear sight is the early version attached with a screw and the stock finish & color is typical of the early guns. It is almost certainly pre-WWI.
