Mala Strana means the “Little Side” or “Lesser Town,” and it sits across the river from Old Town Prague. This more grown-up part of Prague’s city center holds many gems.
- Church of St. Nicholas. Bridge, Church, Cathedral. There are oodles of churches in Prague, but perhaps none as fascinating as this baroque-styled piece in Malá Strana.
- Petrin Tower. Building. Book Now. The Petrin Tower is a tower on the outskirts of the Malá Strana area. Similar to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, this landmark is a favorite with tourists.

Aug 28, 2019 · Malá Strana is divided between the lower and upper halves of the western hillside, opposite the Vltava River. The upper half consists mainly of Prague Castle, where most tourists flock (with good reason), but the rest of the Lesser Town has a more subdued vibe.
Location & How to Get to Get to Mala Strana in Prague. Lesser Quarter — with its centerpiece square — is on the west side of the Vltava just below Prague Castle. Charles Bridge links it to the right bank. The views are postcard-perfect, so many people walk to the district.
