    The descent on the Mt. Whitney Trail took only 6.3 hours, thank goodness. Granted, I take a lot of pictures (mostly of wildflowers), and that explains some of the slow pace: 285 photos on the way up, and that's not counting the duplicates and out-of-focus ones that I already deleted.
