Serra Negra Serra Negra is a hill in the southeastern part of the island of Sal in Cape Verde.Its maximum elevation is 104 m, the highest point in southern Sal. It stretches for about 2.5 km along the east coast of the island, between the headland Ponta da Fragata in the south and the Ponta do Morrinho Vermelho in the north.

Founded in 1828, Serra Negra dedicated its early days to coffee farming, like other towns of the Paulista Water Circuit. Serra Negra. Friday 15th July and we were on the summit of this Mountain, it's name literally translates as Black Mountain. The main purpose of being here was for the zip lining, the descent point for Zipline Cabo Verde is located a few metres from the actual summit. The mountain is located in the southeastern part of the Island of Sal.
