Jun 25, 2018 · The farm is situated on 250 meters (820 ft) tall cliff above the beautiful Geirangerfjord, which is surrounded by steep mountains rising in rugged strata straight out of the water. The drop off the top of the cliff is so precarious that the farmers had to tie up their children when they were outside playing to stop them from falling off the edge.

  6. LENGTH AND DURATION The hike from Skagehola to Skageflå takes approx. 45 minutes up and 30 minutes down at a leisurely pace. The whole trip from Skagehola, via Skageflaa and Homlongsætra, down to Homlong and back to Gieranger is 6.5 km and takes 3-4 hours depending on speed and stops along the way.
