May 2, 2023 · The White Rock Overlook is a beautiful overlook located near Los Alamos, New Mexico that offers brilliant views of the Rio Grande and surrounding mountains.
There are two communities in the County: the town of Los Alamos and the community of White Rock. Lands belonging to the San Ildefonso and Santa Clara Pueblos, sovereign Native American tribes, are located within and adjacent to Los Alamos County.
The White Rock Overlook is located in the small community of White Rock which is near, but not in, the city of Los Alamos but is very close to Bandolier National Monument. The overlook in a safe community park consists of a concrete platform with handrails perched on the edge of the gorge created by the Rio Grande.
