LeBlanc went on to make waves in the entertainment industry, working on several popular TV series. He served as an associate producer on "Good Times," one of the first primetime sitcoms depicting life for African Americans.

Whitney J. LeBlanc grew up in Louisiana and has spent more than half of his fifty year career in Hollywood as a director for television sitcoms, and daytime dramas. He has worked as a university professor, professional theatre set designer, and television producer . In 2003 he was the recipient of the Amistad award for his novel Blues in the Wind.
