Kyla-Drew (Kyla Drew Simmons) co-stars as Sasha Dixon, Brian's teenage daughter. She grieves her mother's death and stays current with pop culture trends. Kyla-Drew portrayed Joy Birch in Prisoners and Maria in Peppermint. She also appeared as Tiffany St. Martin in Crown Lake.
Porscha Coleman portrays Chelsea Dixon, Brian's sister. She seeks a romantic partner and helps Sasha with her transition. Coleman portrayed Sheila Pepper in Boston Public and Erica Willis in The Parkers. She also appears as Gloria in Paradise City.
Jonathan Kite appears as Johnny Williams, an Atlanta police officer and Brian's good friend. He's an aspiring stand-up comedian who makes the news as a "Cowardly Cop." Kite portrayed Richard Nixon in Black Dynamite and Oleg in 2 Broke Girls. He also voiced Octavian in Cleopatra in Space.
David Alan Grier portrays Pops Dixon, Brian's father. He's an old school type who spent time in prison but shows that he's willing to change his views.
