Nov 6, 2020 · While there are moments that are highly uncomfortable, the film does tend to cut away during the more gruesome moments. Sort of a torture porn lite. Gore fans should probably steer clear, but the film still is not recommended for those who are easily upset by stressful violence, real or implied. “The Odds” is a psychological thriller.

Apr 23, 2018 · I’ve seen some terrific films of this sort in the past – “man in a box” type stories that are true character-driven stories. Buried, from 2010 comes to mind (starring Ryan Reynolds), which takes place entirely in a coffin buried underground. For this type story to work you need two main things; a solid script, and great actors.
Permalink. Abbi Butler subjects herself to torture for the chance of winning a million dollars. She is in a room sitting across from a smug James J. Fuertes conducting the game. In between rounds, the couple reveals their lives for film filler. The ending, which I suppose was a twist, was predictable.
