New regulation requires manufacturers to continuously increase the share of electric vehicles sold, reaching 100% of passenger car and light truck sales by model year 2035.
As of June 30, 2020, Maryland has over 25,700 EVs registered. To support these EVs, Maryland’s EV infrastructure consists of 21 alternative fuel corridors (AFCs) and more than 700 publicly available charging stations with over 2,100 chargers.
