In order to visually emphasize the isolation of the characters, Prieto takes advantage of empty spaces that contrasts the blue skies and the grey soil.

  7. The disc played fine, no problems. The story was somber/melancholy but gave good insight into what people/women faced in 1850 - pioneering the great plains. A good story, well acted by all. The leads held by Tommy Lee Jones (who also directed) and Hilary Swank (who had no problem presenting herself as very plain), A far cry from her movie P.S.
