Lindsay Doran was born in 1948 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is a producer, known for Sense and Sensibility (1995), The Firm (1993) and Dead Again (1991). Trivia (1) Her father was film executive D. A. Doran, her mother, Marion Avery [1910-2006], was the head of the Play Department at Columbia Pictures.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Doran graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz and then moved to London where she was a contributor to The Oxford Companion to Film and The World Encyclopedia of Film. Upon her return stateside, Doran worked as a producer of local documentaries for a Pennsylvania television station.
