He also has developed conceptual artwork for the movies, and illustrates TCG cards and merchandising. The original artwork for all 151 Generation I Pokémon was done by Sugimori.

I REALLY prefer his coloring style from gold/silver era. I miss Sugimori's water color stuff, it was super fun. I like the earlier work that has the hand drawn feel with water color. Newer ones feel artificial and very CGI generated.
