Oct 29, 2023 · The Boeing 777X was launched in 2013 as a replacement for the 777 (and for the 747), based on updates to the existing 777 rather than a full clean-sheet design. There will be two versions of the Boeing 777X , the 777-9 and the smaller 777-8, with a third option for an ultra-long-range model not currently planned.
