Zaheer is a recurring character in Nickelodeon's animated television series The Legend of Korra (a sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender). He serves as the main antagonist of Book Three: Change, and his actions have lingering effects on Avatar Korra and the series' plot in the following book.

The main antagonists in season three of "The Legend of Korra" were the Red Lotus, led by the powerful airbender Zaheer. The Red Lotus are a self-proclaimed anarchist organization that oppose the Avatar and seek to disrupt the world order.

- He Has An Affinity For Spirits. While Zaheer is not a true master of the way of spirits like Uncle Iroh is, he's quite comfortable in the spirit world and knows how to make the most of it.
- His Name's Meanings. Many of the characters in The Legend of Korra were designed with real-life references and allusions in mind, and that includes Zaheer; most of all, his name.
- He Is Loyal To Friends. Zaheer is a team player, and he formed an elite squad consisting of himself, Ghazan (pictured at right), Ming-Hua, and his lover, P'Li.
- He Can Forgive. This is another way that, despite his brutality, Zaheer is like an airbender monk: he is quick to forgive. He is not one to take things personally, but instead, he focuses on the mission and his core beliefs, and he will ally with (or fight) whomever he must.
Zaheer is patient, objective, unemotional (except when losing P'Li), intelligent, efficient, dangerous, and nuanced. Jun 16, 2020 · When Korra was very young, Zaheer joined the secretive Red Lotus organization and learned about Avatar Wan's historic separation of Raava and Vaatu. He was certain that the world was thus out of balance, and he and Unalaq conspired to have Korra trained to release Vaatu.

Thanks to their strength and closeness, they're a perfectly balanced team capable of topping monarchies.
