The regular Don Crichton Dancers are Junior High aged kids who dance in costume pretending to be adults, they aren't very good and bordering on creepy as under-aged kids try to be sexy. The guest stars in season one are singers who usually only sing one song in the first five minutes, Tim interrupts them at first before letting them continue.
Premiering in March 1980, the show started out in a one-hour format, but when it returned in September, it had been trimmed to thirty minutes, and Jack Riley and Eric Boardman had left. Early in 1981, Harvey Korman, Conway’s former foil on The Carol Burnett Show, became a regular, and Dick Orkin and Bert Berdis were dropped.
