Oleg Svyatoslavich (Russian: Олег Святославич); c. 1052 – 1 August 1115) was a prince from Kievan Rus' whose equivocal adventures ignited political unrest in the country at the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries. He reigned as Prince of Chernigov from 1097 to 1115, and was the progenitor of the Olgovichi family.

The history of the dynasty's first hundred years appeared in 1994 as The Dynasty of Chernigov 1054–1146. It began with the year in which Svyatoslav Yaroslavich became the autonomous prince of Chernigov and ended with the year in which his grandson Vsevolod Ol′govich died as prince of Kiev.
It was founded by the Viking Oleg, ruler of Novgorod from c. 879, who seized Smolensk and Kiev (882), which became the capital of Kievan Rus. Extending his rule, Oleg united local Slavic and Finnish tribes, defeated the Khazar s, and, in 911, arranged trade agreements with Constantinople.
