  7. William Herbert, Earl of Pembroke, died at Hampton Court Palace at the age of 63 on 17th March 1570. Queen Elizabeth wrote a letter of condolence to Herbert's widow. He was laid to rest at Old St Paul’s on 18th April 1570 beside his first wife.
