Under the NVIDIA control panel for desktop size I have it set to Full-Screen, preform scaling on GPU, Resolution 1920x1080 (current) and 144hz refresh rate.
It looks nicer than black bars id assume. They're used to fit 4:3 videos onto 16:9 screens. The ends are just duplicated and blurred to make up for lost space. To fill it out for tv screens. Its to fill the blank space when the video is shot while your phone is up right not sideways.
