If the guess about the original agents being stationed at the bunker is correct (the one I got that from another Redditor) then, the distance from the Shark to the bunker would mean that it would be too far for her to get back to safety.
Just thought about this; Skye had a mythical grappler in C2S2 and in this season, there's an ice grappler. And since next season might be snowy themed, maybe there'll be that Winter Skye from the skin survey art.
