Circuit Paul Armagnac, also known as Circuit de Nogaro, is a motorsport race track located in the commune of Nogaro in the Gers department in southwestern France. The track is named in honor of Nogaro-born racing driver Paul Armagnac, who died in an accident during practice for the 1962 1000 km de Paris at the Montlhéry circuit.

Feb 7, 2021 · The influential pilot Paul Armagnac directed the authorities towards the aerodrome of Nogaro, built to the north of the city. Luckily, the latter is managed by Jean Armagnac, his father. Work began some time later, in 1959. The 3 October 1960, the brand new route is inaugurated. At the same time, it becomes the first permanent French circuit.

By 1962, the circuit was to honour one its local aces in sad circumstances, Paul Armagnac having been killed in an accident during practice for the 1000kms at Montlhéry, Paris. The track was renamed the Circuit Paul Armagnac in his memory.
