Topics may either relate to medical basic sciences (such as anatomy or biochemistry), or clinical medicine (such as illnesses and surgical procedures). The project aims to improve medicine articles, and to give editors an opportunity to collaborate. Anyone can nominate an article, or vote on nominees at our project page.
So if Wikipedia is the most widely used medical reference in the world, and the third most visited medical reference in the US, why not be a part of increasing the quality of reliable information there by becoming a WikiProject Medicine editor?

Aug 7, 2017 · The project’s results have just been published in the top-tier journal Academic Medicine: The 80 students have edited 65 Wikipedia pages, adding 93,000 words and 605 references. Those pages had 1.8 million views during the 30 days of active editing. Then, through March 23 those 65 pages had 34 million page views.
Wikipedia is one of the most used medical information resources globally, with immediate public health implications. Its model of user-generated content presents unique challenges and opportunities. Its content quality is variable but improving, and in need of further expert input.
