Google Earth is a virtual globe program that was first called Earth Viewer and was created by Keyhole, Inc. It maps the surface of the earth by combining pictures taken by satellites and airplanes. There are also three-dimensional maps where you can look at the area from different angles. It is kind of like Google Maps.

Google Earth é um programa de computador desenvolvido e distribuído pela empresa estadunidense do Google cuja função é apresentar um modelito tridimensional do globo terrestre, construído a partir de mosaico de imagens de satélite obtidas de fontes diversas, imagens aéreas (fotografadas de aeronaves) e GIS 3D.

Google Earth 5からは、海中を立体的に表示することも可能になっている。 カーソル地点の標高がすぐに表示される。 Google Earth 4 ベータ版になり、世界の主要都市に加え、日本国内の主要都市も3Dビルディングにより再現できる。
