Commons does not allow non-free or fair use images. See c:Commons:Licensing. Commons employs a more restrictive interpretation of international copyright law than Wikipedia. Images must be free in both the country of origin and the United States in order to be free enough for Commons.

Images are one of the many types of media used on Wikipedia and may be photos, drawings, logos, or graphs. All pictures used must be legal in the United States, where Wikimedia's servers are located. Images are stored on the Wikipedia website or the partner Wikimedia Commons website.
How to Find Images on Wikimedia Commons. Go to the main page of the site: https://commons.wikimedia.org. Find the search bar on the upper right. Type a keyword related to the subject of the image you want, and hit return. Use the filters in the horizontal menu to sort the results of your search.
