Tom Berenger, Mark Moses, and Willem Dafoe as American soldiers in Vietnam in Platoon (1986), directed by Oliver Stone. The film presents the war through the eyes of new recruit Chris Taylor (played by Charlie Sheen ).
One day, platoon commander Lieutenant Wolfe (Mark Moses) discusses the plans for a patrol later that night with the platoon sergeants: the compassionate Sergeant Elias (Willem Dafoe), harsh but hard-core Staff Sergeant Barnes (Tom Berenger), cowardly lifer Sergeant Red O'Neil (John C. McGinley), and drug addict Sergeant Warren (Tony Todd).
Elias ( Willem Dafoe ), another good fighter, but a man who tries to escape from the reality through drugs. Bunny ( Kevin Dillon ), the scared kid, who has become dangerous because that seems like a way to protect himself. There is rarely a clear, unequivocal shot of an enemy soldier.
