William Earle Richmond (December 19, 1921 – June 4, 2016) was an American film and television comedy writer and producer, as well as a musician, actor and composer. He co-wrote the screenplays to numerous popular films that starred Jerry Lewis. These films included The Nutty Professor, The Errand Boy and The Ladies Man.

Richmond and Eric Richmond) and a daughter (Pamela Richmond Ruff) before separating in 1960. Following the separation, Sanford and the children moved to Los Angeles. Richmond remained in New York and died later that same year.

Biography. William Richmond Jr is a part of US Black heritage. William was born about 1913. He was a house painter in New York City. He married Isabel Sanford in New York City in 1945. They had three children before separating around 1960, when Isabel and the children moved to California.
