Mar 30, 2020 · Empires in Ruins is currently in Steam Early Access with the developers planning for a 12 months period before the game hits the full release. The game already has all of its “core” features but the Early Access period can help developers to push the levels of polish and balance up.
Feb 7, 2020 · Empires in Ruins main draw, at least at present, is its writing. In campaign mode, the story is told through chapter screens and regular pop-up text conversations after completing certain objectives like taking control of certain territories, building x farms, and such like.
Feb 11, 2020 · Empires in Ruins features a full campaign mode where you play as a rather unlikable character named Sergeant Hans Heimer, who is a rather uncouth and all around not a very pleasant person. He is tasked with quelling a rebellion amongst the peasantry which is where the 4X portion of the game takes place.
Mar 13, 2020 · Empires in Ruins is an early access release that bills itself as a fusion of 4X strategy and Tower defence. While I’m not claiming to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the two genres, I’d be happy to wager that this is the first time this has been attempted.
