Woodruff's is a bar and live music venue in Ypsilanti's Depot Town. It opened in late 2010, when the closure of Savoy left manager Andy Garris out of a venue, just a month before that year's Mittenfest music festival. As of late 2011, with downtown's venues still mostly closed and awaiting new ownership, Woodruff's is the Ypsilanti venue.
Woodruff's Grove. 1825 map from Orange Risdon. First settled in 1823 by Benjamin Woodruff who came here with a party from Ohio, at a location originally used by Gabriel Godfroy as an Indian trading post. John Bryan became the first postmaster in 1825; the post office closed in 1828. This settlement became part of what is now Ypsilanti.
