Mar 11, 2024 · I’m interested to know if anyone else wants to see some of the named female characters in cinematics. Personally I’d like Blizz to focus on the game itself. In-game cut scenes (the ones that use actual gameplay models) are completely sufficient.
- Vanessa VanCleef. After her father’s death, Vanessa VanCleef rose to lead the Defias Brotherhood. But leading the bandits wasn’t enough revenge for her. She bided her time after being adopted by a family in Westfall.
- Sylvanas. Arguably one of the most badass female characters within World of Warcraft is the Banshee Queen herself – Sylvanas. The Ranger General was an essential character dating back to Warcraft 3 who finds herself on the wrong side of Arthas’ blade.
- Baroness Vashj. Some of the most influential characters in World of Warcraft didn’t start off as heroes or even become heroes in the end. In fact, Baroness Vashj is one of my favorite anti-heroes.
- First Arcanist Thalyssra. Another recent addition to the World of Warcraft lore is First Arcanist Thalyssra. She was first introduced in Legion when players answered a plea for help from Suramar.
Taria Wrynn, Queen of Stormwind, was created to give the movie another important female character (and to give a name and backstory to Llane's wife / Varian's mother). She is also Lothar's sister.

Sylvanas Windrunner is a fictional character who appears in the Warcraft series of video games by Blizzard Entertainment. Originally introduced in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, she received a dramatic redesign in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, followed by a minor redesign in World of Warcraft: Legion.
