Sep 9, 2020 · WorldCat Identities. WorldCat Identities is an experimental project that provides library holdings data for personal, corporate, or subject-based identities. While it is not the only source of such data, it is especially useful for contributing to gap projects for three reasons.
A typical WorldCat Identities page will include a list of most widely held-by-libraries works by and about the identity, a list of variant forms of name the identity has been known by, a FAST tag cloud of places, topics, etc. closely related to works by and about the person, links to co-authors, and more.
WorldCat offers a wide range of functions in addition to its core index, such as the experimental WorldCat Identities (WI).
