To me the case is nicer, making the watch look much nicer. And the hand wind movement works great. $295 isn't really a bad price, but honestly there's no reason to pay MSRP on a Seiko 5. Give it a few months until stores get Stock, and someone somewhere will put it on sale.

These will chew through batteries pretty quickly and I don’t believe servicing is easy or affordable compared to the price of the watch. They are cool watches and are an interesting piece of horological history. To me $400 would be the max I’d pay for this especially if it’s on an Omega bracelet.
