The kid would have been asking questions had his sister never come home. I think the rich dude killed everyone who would possibly have been questioning where their loved ones were. I also think that had she chosen to walk away empty-handed with the other guy, he would have killed them both on the way out.
[Ending Spoiler] Theory for Would You Rather (2012) Discussion. My theory is that if Iris didn’t shoot Lucas then Lambert would have given the gun to Lucas and asked him if he wanted to shoot Iris and get the money or let her alive but get out empty handed. I looked through different posts on this movie and none of them mentioned this theory.
