The logo for first WrestleMania was based on WWF’s logo colors itself at the time. Golden first letters and other letters in sky blue, with purple background.

Second WrestleMania logo was copy of first one itself with just number ‘2’ in the backdrop in red color.

The number ‘3’ was added in Roman numeral for the logo of WrestleMania 3 in 1987, which became a trend going forward. Also, the WWF logo was shifted a bit upward and resided separate from WrestleMania letters.

The roman number V took prominence over the WrestleMania logo in 1989 while other design elements remains same.

WrestleMania 7’s theme was of patriotism (in the wake of Gulf War) with the tag line – Superstars and Stripes Forever. This resulted in the WrestleMania 7 logo being colored in Red, Blue and White, which are the colors from American National Flag.

WrestleMania IX was held in Caesars Palace and the Roman theme continued with arena being transformed to look like a Roman coliseum among other things. The logo for WrestleMania 9 also had the Roman flavor with the leaves of bay laurel being added in the backdrop.

Just like the logo from fifth edition, the Roman number ‘X’ took prominence in the logo along with curved letters. The ‘WrestleMania’ word was painted in all Gold while the number ‘X’ was changed to all blue.

WrestleMania 36 theme was supposed to be that of a pirate ship before the forced change in plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The WWE logo was put up on a pirate styles flag, which itself was hoisted on pirate sword. The WrestleMania logo was also put up on a red curved banner.

WrestleMania 39 logo was designed with inspiration from Hollywood as the event moved to the suburbs of Los Angeles. The reels logo replaced the lines at the top and bottom of the logo and the word ‘Hollywood’ was added at the bottom half.

WrestleMania 40 logo was revealed during the Extreme Rules 2022 event. The logo featured the return of the number in roman numerals for the first time since WrestleMania 30. The complete logo was installed on top of a bell.

  7. Apr 3, 2021 · Thankfully, we have a new pirate themed logo with 37 and Hollywood has been kept (at least for now) for 2023. Stuck between them is WrestleMania 38, which has just another generic star, but they’ve learned from before and made blue the more primary color. All in all, I like these quite a bit.
