By the way, I mentioned this in my review of "Monster." I very much enjoy how Japanese movies use bicycles and cars. A bicycle is youthful, for leisure activity, while a car is for adults, for work. Even Niko leaving by car signals that. You see these symbols in "Shoplifters," "Monster," almost all Miyazaki movies, and "Perfect Days."
