Mar 4, 2024 · Quite simply, Yes are the one of the most progressive and forward-thinking rock bands of their generation. Not only did their experimental and idiosyncratic mélange of rock, jazz, folk and classical music establish them as prog-rock pioneers, but their fearless commitment to musical virtuosity put them leagues ahead of their peers.
Yes the album seems rebellious at times but it seems planned. Alan White gives us some time-delayed snare slaps that are very creative. Anderson is his wonderful vocal self, and the vocal harmonies which add to most songs are evident. Good for Yes, good for our ears and hearts and good to hear a unique prog rock album that stands alone.
