Yoshiaki Nishimura (西村 義明 , Nishimura Yoshiaki, born September 25, 1977, in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese film production formerly associated with Studio Ghibli and is currently at Studio Ponoc.

After studying in the United States, Nishimura returned to Japan and joined Studio Ghibli, working as on production administration and promotions for Howl's Moving Castle.

In 2006, after helping promote the re-release of the classic French animated film Le Roi et l'Oiseau (The King and the Mockingbird) translated by the Isao Takahata, Nishimura was tapped by the late director to work on further releases. A few years later, Toshio Suzuki, appointed Nishimura to produce Takahata's The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. Nishimura worked with Takahata for several years before the film was finally released in 2013.

In March 2014, Suzuki announced at a press conference that he would be stepping back from producing Ghibli films and that the reins would be handed over to Nishimura.

Nishimura then worked with Hiromasa Yonebayashi in producing When Marnie Was There; although the two wanted to continue working on animated films, the decision was made to retire Ghibli's production offices. They then founded Studio Ponoc.
