What makes Tommy Lascelles a fascinating character is a) he's played by Pip Torrens who is a grossly underrated actor and b) there are two simultaneously true, but almost contradictory points to be made about him: He was the epitome of what a British royal courtier was supposed to be. I do enjoy Cary Warleggan. Pip Torrens is excellent. He and Jack Farthing have been the one constant in the show. It took me a long time to realises Pip Torrens played Tommy Lacelles in The Crown. (I loved him in that too) I agree with the general consensus that this series has missed the mark.
