Yvonne Craig (16 May 1937 – 17 August 2015; age 78) was an actress and former ballerina who played Marta in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "Whom Gods Destroy". She filmed her scenes between Tuesday 15 October 1968 and Wednesday 23 October 1968 at Desilu Stage 9 and Stage 10.
Portrayed "Marta" in Star Trek. In 1969 Craig appeared on Star Trek as Marta, a green-skinned Orion woman in the episode "Whom Gods Destroy". In the episode, former Starfleet Captain Garth (Steve Ihnat), is incarcerated in a mental asylum on a distant planet.

Yvonne Craig, who played Marta, the Orion Slave Girl, in Star Trek: The Original Series, passed away in 2015 after a battle with breast cancer. She was also known for her role as Batgirl in the third season of Batman.
After Batman (1966), she also appeared on other television series such as Star Trek (1966) and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974). As her career wound down, Yvonne went into the real estate business. Yvonne Craig died at age 78 of breast cancer at her home in Pacific Palisades, California on August 17, 2015.
