Oct 19, 2015 · “Tasty” was the third studio album released by Kelis who had achieved moderate success with Kalediscope and lesser with ‘Wanderland”. Both her first two albums were written and produced by ‘The Neptunes’ who consisted of duo Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo.
In fact few songs on Tasty bare resemblance to one another, and yet it manages to be a truly cohesive project. This was the first album Kelis had sole creative control over, and wanted to prove she was more than just a canvas for the Neptunes.
