Deeds unexpectedly inherits a fortune. So, he goes to the big city, where an unscrupulous reporter named Babe ( Winona Ryder ) pretends to be a damsel in distress to get close enough to him so that she can write stories about what an idiot he is.
User Reviews. Mr. Deeds is very similar to many other Adam Sandler films. The film follows a basic and predictable formula. Many of the comedian's reliable standards are in effect: abuse of old folks, crude humor, a Rob Schneider appearance, and mentally deficient sidekicks.

Jun 28, 2002 · Mr. Deeds has lots comedy a bit over the years, but I really enjoy the characters, many of these characters are only in the movie to use as jokes. Certainly not the best movie in the world but it was worth watching.
