DePaul’s Master of Legal Studies (MLS) program is specifically designed for professionals who do not seek to practice law, but who regularly encounter legal issues in their work and/or would benefit from specialized legal knowledge. For added flexibility, DePaul College of Law also offers the Master of Legal Studies (MLS) program online.

  3. Find your student type for application deadlines. The word “deadline” will become part of your daily vocabulary in college, beginning with the application process. Be sure to meet our application and admission deadlines (or better yet, be early). If you’re unsure which student type you are, visit our Types of Admission page.

  4. Financial Aid. We know law school is a big investment, and DePaul is committed to help make it as accessible and affordable as possible. Financial Aid is available in the form of federal student loans. In addition, the College of Law awards a limited number of scholarships to entering first-year law students, based on academic merit.

  5. The College of Law offers full and part-time curriculum options. In the part-time program, classes are conducted on weekday evenings beginning at 5:50 p.m. Part-time students typically attend classes four days per week. Part-time students who remain in the part-time program typically graduate in four years.
