In 1988, Rubin starred in the horror film Bad Dreams, the drama film Permanent Record, and the coming of age film Blueberry Hill. The following year, Rubin portrayed Claire in an episode of the television series Miami Vice. In 1990, Rubin starred in the comedy film Too Much Sun.
