Her first husband, whom she married in 1970 and later divorced, was Perry Moede, a sculptor. Her second husband was Guy Manning. She was the mother of Marc Welles (aka Marc McKerrow), whom she gave up for adoption as an infant, but not of film and stage actress Gwen Welles, as is commonly supposed.
